It's a funny thing

It's a funny thing, change is. As I was leaving my church building yesterday I couldn't help but think that things would never be the same as they were just then. I wouldn't ever walk into that church again and see all of the familiar faces I had just seen. I wouldn't be able to come home to my same roommates. I wouldn't be going back to Family Finance the next day to not listen, but to play draw something all class long. I wouldn't be peering in my neighbors window as I walked by in hopes of seeing the cute neighbor boy. (not in a stalker, creeper way..ok maybe...but whatever.) I wouldn't be laying under the cherry blossoms laughing about boys, jobs, and school with my friends. I wouldn't be doing 74895748957498 loads of dishes each week. I wouldn't be plunging the toilet because it overflowed for the billionth time. I wouldn't be coming up with "my idea of the best kiss" scenarios with some pretty rad ladies. No more late night walks to the temple. No more prank wars. No more Continental apartment 37.

I wouldn't be doing the same things I had been doing the past nine months.

I felt sick. My stomach sank.

Change is hard. And I didn't know how to accept the fact that it was coming, and coming soon.

But then I thought of all I had to look forward to:

* My best friends wedding
* Friends coming back from missions
* Summer
* sun burns and ice cream
* Half marathon
* No more doing 5489574957459475 sets of dishes
* No more plunging the toilet from hell
* No more buying my own groceries
* A new school year come fall
* Summer flinging...ha.

 So peace out Sophomore year and Utah State.Thank you for the memories, both good and not so good. We've had a good run.

 You've been good to me.

Oh so good.

#roommatelovin

Well folks, my roommates have done it again. Here is the latest installment of "find Janie a hot date"

Unbeknownst to yours truly, my roommates made a zillion of these bad boys and hung them up EVERYWHERE!
Can't tell if I love them or hate them for it.

 I'll keep you updated..

Obsessed

Sorry for my lack of posts...you can find me curled up in my bed watching THIS. I'm obsessed.
How was your easter?? Mine was spent with friends and family dying easter eggs and spending time with those I love.

I hope you're enjoying the beautiful weather!

Sweat like a pig, look like a fox

Well, I started running. It's safe to say that it is one of the hardest yet most rewarding ventures. I made a decision that I was going to transform my life and achieve a greater sense of health and overall being. Over this past year I have watched countless people achieve their goals and I felt utterly lost. I wanted that to be me.

Each day on the treadmill I look over and see others running faster, longer, and harder than I am. BUT I am there. I am working. I am trying.

So here I am starting a new journey. I know it is going to come with its up's and down's but I am more determined than ever to achieve my goals.

Spring Break say Wha?

Spring break came and gone much too fast, but let me say it was a blast. Too much eating, so much laughing, and loads of hiking and friends.

Friday I drove down to Rexburg to visit Liza and Rachy! Oh my, what a blast that was! BYU-I sure knows how to partay!

I lover her.

Monday Bree, Emily, Emily, Caitlin and I headed down to St. George for hiking, sun, and fun. We had a blast. I love those ladies.

Meditation is much better a top a mountain.

I don't know why this picture is so grainy, but these were the beautiful red rocks we climbed up. So pretty!

We got home wednesday in which I spent my remaining break playing with friends, going on lunch dates with my grandparents, and sleeping!

                                This little beauty was taken on St. Patty's day. What a gem eh?

                                        I loved having sleepovers with my favorite little guy.

Spring break was much needed! I loved spending some time with my friends and just relaxing! The only down side was not being able to see my mom! She and my step dad are traveling London. What jerks right? No, they are having a ball sight seeing and eating up their time in Europe.

I'm so excited to finish out the school year and see what the summer has in store. I have set some great goals and I am anxious to see them through!

I hope everyone had a lovely break!
