I did it!

Well, I did it! I ran 13.1 miles at the Bear Lake half marathon! It was definitely the HARDEST thing I have ever done, but I am so glad I did it. As I ran alongside the beautiful blue lake, I couldn't help but think to myself how far I had come. Just eight months ago, I stepped on a treadmill and could barely run a mile. I was embarrassed, discouraged, and realized that I needed a new life style change.

Around mile ten of the race, I hit the point of exhaustion. I was so tired. I wanted to quit so bad. But I knew I just had to finish. I had to prove to myself that I could do it! (plus, there was this super cute muscly guy in front of me and I couldn't lose him. I mean, if I wanted to continue to stare at his very golden, defined, muscly back, then I just had to keep running!)

This experience taught me so much; I know I can do hard things! If you just keep going, not matter how hard it may seem, you can reach your goals.

Right after I crossed the finish line. Really cute eh?

I made it!

I still have a long way to go in my journey, but this is just the beginning to a new healthy life!
