You're my person

"The clinic has a policy. They wouldn't let me confirm my appointment unless I designated an emergency contact person. Someone to be there, just in case, and to help me home, you know, after. Anyway, I put your name down. That's why I told you I'm pregnant. You're my "person."
                    -Christina Yang (Greys' Anatomy)

Well, this is my person. She is getting ready to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. And boy, am I going to miss her.

In case you've ever wondered...

....what the evolution of studying for exams looks like:

Stage #1: Confusion

Stage #2: Sadness

Stage #3: Anger

Stage #4: I'M GOING TO KILL SOMEONE.

Please excuse me while I bang my head against the wall and attempt to study for my exams. Bleh.

A Happy List

Things that are making me happy as of late:

*Diet Coke. Nector of the gods I tell you what.

*New shoes. Normally my feet are abnormally ugly. Like they might possibly scare small children. Anyways, strap on a pair of cute Steve Maddens, and viola! They are magically spicy hot!
*Small children-mostly these small children. This is Greta, Harper, and Stella. Sometimes I feel like they are my own kids but in all actuality, they are just my cousins. They are some of my very best friends. Love them!
 *Crazy hair+Crazy glasses+awkward self picture=this photo.
*Ok, so basically the new Batman movie has me all hot and bothered because of a few different reasons. Let me spell it out for you-Christian Bale+Tom Hardy+Joseph Gordon-Levitt=HOLY MOTHERLOAD! wow, glad we got that all figured out.
*This here is a little grocery store in a place called Grouse Creek. Now Grouse Creek is a little town made up of a few dozen hicks, all related to each other, living life in the middle of nowhere. If you like playing a mean game of horse shoes, dancing with your cousins, and sitting through a 3+ hour program all about your heritage, Grouse Creek is for you! Really, this place is the bomb diggity. Loooove it.
*Night swimming. Everything is better when the sun goes down. heh heh.
*Bonfires. Woah baby, I make a mean smore.
*Horses-or rather country livin! Spending the weekend in Grouse Creek has me all hopped up on cowgirl boots, horses, and good country cookin!

It's a fashion fantasy

I have stumbled upon the GREATEST website in the history of the universe. If you eat, sleep, and dream clothes like me-this place a dream land I tell you. A DREAM LAND.
It's called Polyvore. I'm probably so late jumping on the polyvore bandwagon, but I tell you, pure magic is what's in store for you. pure pure lovin.

You can search ANY type of clothing with the price tag you want, the color you want, and the style, and it will bring up thousands of options for you. It will take you directly to sites to help you purchase your item. Its MAAAAAAGIC!

I spent way too much creating some dream outfits and closet pieces that I desperately need/want.

Here are some of the outfits I put together. Go check out Polyvore and create your own! And if you do, I want to see!

Wowzers. I have found love. You ladies will thank me later when you check this place out.

New York New York

Last week I met up with my aunt in New York for a fun filled week in the big apple. Holy smokes, it was a total blast. I love the busy life, the honking horns, the lights, and the black men. Yowzah, I was basically in black man wonderland. It was marvelous.

We went to Kleinfelds, (Say yes to the dress anyone?) Carlo's Bakery, (cake boss) shopped, ate, explored Manhattan, Canoed in Central Park, played in the ocean, and had a grand ole time. I cannot wait to go back.

I am considering going to FIT, a fashion school in Manhattan, and this trip only made my longing for the city life grow.
