The Best Day of the Year
Yesterday was my birthday! Hoorah! Call me crazy, but I loooove me some birthday. My day, or rather "birthday weekend" was spent with friends and family and I couldn't have asked for a better fun-filled few days.
Here are a few highlights from my favorite day of the year:
- I got "The Ultimate Boyfriend" for my birthday. You may be thinking, that is impossible, he just doesn't exsist! Well, I got him. He knows exactly what to say, he's super sexy, and will never break my heart. What a dream boat.
-I went to a stake dance (more to come on that later) and was asked to dance by an oober babe. Ya baby!
-Muddy Buddies, "Cowboy Wanted", walmart giftcards, Diet Coke, and more. All my favorite things. My friends win.
-Driving up imigration canyon to eat at the most holy of holies resteraunt, "Ruth's Diner". If you haven't been, it is a must. Gorgeous scenery, delicious food, and great company. What more could you ask for?
-Shopping in Park City. Not only do I love clothes, but I love good deals! Everything was on sale, the weather was perfect, and the trip was successful. (Thank you gram and gramps :))
-Staying the night in the most beautiful condo in Park City. Our night was filled with great food, laughs, toasts, and being with those I love.
A few photos to share:
What a GREAT birthday.

Awkward and Awesome Thursday!
Awkward:
- leaving my house today..twice..without a bra on. So what if I let the goods hang free for awhile.
- Getting a text from a random stranger. The text read: "Jolene says no." Um who in the knads is Jolene and why is she saying no?
- Bursting into tears at the gym. Crying in public is oober embarassing business
- crazy lady on the freeway sendin the bird my way. Love you too grouchy pants
-This awesome hair due (hair doo? hair do? I. hate. spelling?) I tried thats supposed to make your hair curly without using heat. Didn't turn out quite as planned. I looked like a german school girl. Just call me Helga for short
Awesome:
-My burfday is on Saturday! yeah baby. Best day of the whole entire year
- Getting some really cute news shoes for said birthday. Sparkly Sperry Topsiders. They are super fab
- Going up to park city for the weekend with my favorite people on the planet, my grandparents. Couldn't be more excited
- Cleaning my room, finally! Seriously I think you could have played where's waldo in my room. Saying it was a disaster is an understatement. Thank heavens for clorox wipes and a good vacuum.
- PINTEREST. enough said
- Knowing fall is just around the corner. I can almost taste it.
- A super sweet (sweet as in "ahh, that's so precious and sweet!" not sweet like "dude that's so sweet. catch my drift?) Anyways it's this really cute necklace my mom got for me from Sundance. I love it.

Donezo
Well folks I did it. I still have one more to make but I thought I would share my first finished project.
Step one: gather supplies
Step one: gather supplies
Step 2: stencil and tape
And you are done! Only one more board to go!
Crafty Shmafty
So over the past few weeks I have come down with a bad case of the crafties. Yes, it's a real disease. I cannot stop itching to paint, craft, sew, draw....etc. Anyways, along with a few doses of Pinterest, and a handful of glorious ispirations, today is the day I will ACTUALLY give my ideas life! Hoorah! So wish me luck on my venture to be a crafty woman. yowzah.
Today's project:
DIY chevron paintings
Supplies needed:
- I purchased two 16X20" canvas boards (both only costed $4.99...what. a. steal.)
- 3 or 4 tubes of acrylic paints. (I'm painting mine a mint-ish green color)
- paint brushes
- 1 roll blue painters tape
- chevron pattern stencil (I found mine on google)
So wish me luck as I venture out and try and duplicate those oh so beautiful paintings shown above. I will post pictures as soon as I am done! This could be a doozie...

Love me some Fall
Being a poor college girl stinks like poo. (the kind where you have to spray ten gallons of fabreeze, flip on the fan, and run out of the bathroom kind of poo) You're welcome for that visual. Anyways, each year around this time, I start browsing online and through various magazines and begin drooling over fall fashion. So to ease the pain of not being able to purchase these items at this time, (notice the hope still lingering in my voice) I thought I would share some of the lovelies I have found...and in fact NEED.
Attention: Any of you readers are more than welcome to donate to my fashion fund. I would love you forever and always.
Exhibit A: These gorgy Steve Maddens. My feet crave these suckers
Basically, those are only a FEW of the items I have been dying for.
Holy Moly, I need to learn to thrift.

Next on the list: THIS watch. Holy shnikies. Time never looked so glamorous.
Say hello to Mac's Ruby Woo lip stick. Yowza.
I need this dress. Now. I can picture it now...in my closet...no, on me. It looks really cute if you're wondering.
